Devenger Road Presbyterian Church is located at 1200 Devenger Road, on the corner of Devenger road and Boiling Springs Road, in Greer, SC.
We invite you to visit our church. Our ministry at Devenger Road is Bible-oriented and offers spiritual encouragement and Christian friendships. We invite you to join us for worship and learning God's Word.
Our congregation consists of families of all ages who share in a commitment to Christian Service. Devenger Road is a caring congregation that wants to reach out beyond ourselves to spread and apply the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Here you will find a warm welcome and ample opportunity to grow your relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church.
It is our goal that you will see in us a love for Christ, for one another, and for you. As you worship with us, we pray that you will know the privilege we share in moments of adoration, exhortation, and consecration.
The purpose of Devenger Road Presbyterian Church is to glorify God through worship, discipleship, evangelism and service.
We seek to show people how to use the Bible, God's inspired Word, to prepare them to meet the problems of their lives in concrete ways.
Devenger Road has programs for all ages: Bible studies, fellowship suppers, and youth mission trips.
We place a strong emphasis on Prayer, Evangelism, and Christian fellowship which promotes our spiritual growth.
What We Believe
We believe The Holy Bible is the inerrant Word of God, the only rule of faith and practice.
God is the Sovereign Creator and Ruler of the Universe.
Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the only Savior and Lord of mankind.
The Holy Spirit is the Initiator and Enabler for the Christian Life.
Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone in the Lord Jesus Christ alone, to the Glory of God alone.
The Ten Commandments are the summation of man's duty to God and of man's responsibilitynto his fellow man.
Family worship and tithing are taught.
Church government is by the Presbyterian system, from which the denomination takes it's name. As outlined in the New Testament, church government is by elders and deacons, elected in a democratic manner by each congregation.
The Sacrament of Baptism is administered to believers and their children. All forms of Christian baptism are recognized. Believers may join our church by profession of faith, reaffirmation of faith or transfer of membership from another denomination.
The Westminster Confession of Faith and the Apostles' Creed are concise statements of the essentials of our beliefs.
